WHAT IS YOUR FRAGRANCE?

Preamble

I recently discovered that prior to the last post, I spent more than two weeks away from the blog and I suspect that my recent practice of taking up series has made me a bit forgetful when I take single topics. I also think that because of the attention I paid to a series on my podcast, I decided to go on an undisclosed hiatus.

Anyway, bygones are bygones. This month will most likely be filled with series but before I announce the upcoming series, let’s take today’s topic.

It had a different name but on meditation, the name change.

Without extra words, let’s dive into today’s topic.

WHAT ARE YOU SMELLING OF?

There are different types of smells. Depending on preference and strength of perception, people react differently to different smells according to preferences.

There was a particular kind of perfume I once smelt that was horrible but according the wearer of the perfume it was a beloved smell.

The way we smell can give an insight to what you are comfortable with. It can also tell your personality.

I for one do not like strong fragrance

What do people perceive of you when they come in contact with you?

What impressions do you give?

To put this straight, it is difficult to build a healthy life based on what people think of you, however it is important to know what your presence communicates to others.

Personally, I have dealt with certain impressions about myself from others especially with those who have never taken time to interact with but conclude from afar. However, I do not disregard everything I hear. I still put some into consideration.

This particular fragrance comes from inside and not outside.

It emanates from the person within you.

It consists of who are, what you think about yourself, and how it affects all your relationships.

I’ll list some of the ways you can create your fragrance:

By amassing knowledge in the direction of who you want to be

By acting on them

By repeating the cycle

What were you expecting me to write?

The way you talk, relate with others, your sense of reasoning, interests, principles and value creates your unique fragrance.

You can be a copycat though

This brings me to ask: What are you known for?

You don’t have to be a celebrity to answer the question

Then to another question: What are you influencing?

Then to another question: What is one positive description about you that has remained consistent?

You can answer the negative one after

This one is unrelated but I still want to ask it: Do you smell nice, bad or neutral?

THE GOD FRAGRANCE

As a Christian, my belief plays a principal role in my life. It is the guideline for all of my life pattern. My relationship with the Holy Spirit is my navigator through the guidelines.

I always reflect through the above mentioned and therefore I am sure interested and invested in my fragrance.

Not a diehard fan of strong perfumes but I am an avid supporter of smelling nice

The way I smell spiritually matters to God and to the ministry God has placed in my hands. I cannot afford to be careless about my lifestyle or the decisions I make.

My life is a testimony that should continue as a testimony.

I did not get it cheap. I got it as a priceless gift

I am a gift that should give gifts to others and the gifts I should give should be healthy and full of life.

And the one person that can keep me supplied is the Holy Spirit
