The Fragility of Life…🌫

Preamble

2020 has taught many things. One of which is life is very fragile…

I have thought more intentionally about life and death this year and God has been faithful to help me through the stages and He will keep helping me. Amen.

What is life?

Today you are here

Tommorrow you are not

Today you laugh

Tommorrow you cry

Today you live

Tomorrow you die

It is a watch clock

And our life fades with each tick

What are you hoping for?

Where does your treasure lie?

If it is in this world

I hope you think again

Because this world will fade away

Along with all the treasures kept inside.

The Bible in multiple passages talked about the fragility of life, however it is only as one meditates and observes happenings, do we realize the truths in the word of God.

James 4, 13 Come now [and pay attention to this], you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and carry on our business and make a profit.” 14 [g]Yet you do not know [the least thing] [h]about what may happen in your life tomorrow. [What is secure in your life?] You are merely a vapor [like a puff of smoke or a wisp of steam from a cooking pot] that is visible for a little while and then vanishes [into thin air]. 15 Instead [i]you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and we will do this or that.” (AMP)

With this, it is important to know where our values and purpose for life lies in. If it is not planted and rooted in God, where else is it?

Matthew 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (KJV)

It is important to God’s will for your life so that you may walk in that will. Do not live haphazardly. Live with a purpose.

Ephesians 5, 15 Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people], 16 [b]making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish and thoughtless, but understand and firmly grasp what the will of the Lord is. (AMP)

We cannot do God’s will if we do not allow Him to lead us in all our activities.

Psalms 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. (KJV)

God, I thank you for my life. I am grateful for life you have given me. Help me to know your will and to walk in it everyday. Help me stand the test of time. Help me walk in your truth. And may my treasure continue to rest in You. For in Jesus name I pray. Amen
