BlogMas Series: 2

Preamble 🌺

In this series, the topics will vary but the focus of it, is to make us ready for 25 and for the rest of the month.

As usual, I would be using real experiences happening currently around me to write posts.

Kindly leave your comments, I would love to engage with you😌

Moody time🍂

In tropical Africa it is harmattan time. In some other countries, it is winter. In some other places, the weather varies.

Where I am, it is harmattan.

The coldest time of the year.

The time no-one wants to get out of their bed and the urge to pull the blanket over and continue the cozy sleep. When alarms are most annoying and you wish you do not need to go anywhere.

This feeling comes with its own moodiness as you drag yourself out of covers so that you can get things done…..

The mood🍃

Me yesterday

I did not know I was quite grumpy yesterday. I had slept more than usual and I had to go to school and I wanted to read because morning time is my favourite time to read.

I warmed myself and left for class, greeting my classmates I met with a smile.

I realized I was grumpy after I had reacted unneccessarily to an innocent looking girl from another class whose offence was her eagerness to sit on the seat I had occupied. My lecture was over and I was supposed to leave the class for the next lecture and I was still seated down.

My facial expression was really not friendly and I wish I can remember her face to apologize.

I continued grumpily until I reached home before I decided to snap out of it……

Mood of the season🍈

It is celebration time

It is merry time

Everyone is getting their presents ready and getting foodstuffs for pies, food, snacks, drinks.

People are getting their houses decorated for 25th.

Along with all these prepartions is the mood changes, sweet-sour, tiring, exhausting feelings

Also, feelings like disappointment, unfulfilled desires and all the sad events of the year come rushing in plus the realization that the year is almost ended.

In all these moments, with the mixtures of emotions, how in the world can we cope with them and get properly ready for the day we have set aside for Christmas?

How can we sincerely get into the right mood for celebrating Jesus in swaddling clothes…..?

Getting into the mood🌳

  • Wear warm clothes to sleep. Do not forget your socks. Remember I mentioned gratefulness for them in the previous post😂😂
  • Drink something warm and Eat
  • Take a warm shower
  • Use a warm body cream (vaseline is good)
  • Start your day with gratefulness
  • Be intentional to keep your heart stocked wuth goodies….

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoevr things are if good report. If there be any virture and if there be any praise; think on these things

KING JAMES VERSION

Keeping your hearts stocked rightly will help to subside the moodiness that may come with the season.

As you prepare, singly or collectively, I hope you have moments of peace and silent joys🤗

BlogMas Series: 1

Preamble🌻

I thought I was going to title this series according to part but I changed my mind.

There is something called Vlogmas, so I decided to do Blogmas.

Hopefully, I would leave titles for next year, hopefully if my spontaneous self does not put out a topic spontaneously.

A Journey to Gratitude🍉

This year has been a rollercoaster. Not just for me but for the world, small and big world.

As a Christian, I keep learning to be grateful even when it is hard to feel grateful.

Some months ago, I checked one of my filled up diaries and saw that I had written a list of things I was grateful for. I had completely forgotten that I had done that before and seeing it made me smile. It touched me and I decided to repeat it, maybe I will convert it into a tradition.

So in today’s part of this series, I will express gratitude for a few things about myself.

Gratitudation🍇

If you follow my blog, you will accept by now that I create a lot of words and I always let you know that you would not find them in an English Dictionary. Example is the heading of this part, so if you are so freaked out about it, forgive me, it is part of everything that comes with me.

So……. I am grateful that I exist

I am grateful for my smile, seeing it makes me smile😁

I am grateful for where I come from and my family💝❤

I am grateful to have food and shelter

I am grateful to be in school

I am grateful to be a Christian

I am grateful for the relationship I have with God

I am grateful for my friends

I am grateful for creativity

I grateful for all the things I can do

I am grateful for my colorful clothes, they are my babies😂😂😂😂

I am grateful for my future cats, for now I do not have one….🐱

I am grateful for the humans and aliens I met

I am grateful for growth

I am grateful for sweaters and socks

I am grateful for Bananas

I grateful for self discovery

I am grateful that I love myself

I am grateful for diaries, my Winnie Lappie, my spectacles and all the books that sleep with me

I am grateful for being able to be grateful..

You get?

Psalms 34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
