THE HOUSEJOB CHRONICLES: CHAPTER 5

It has been quite a while but here I am again.

In this part, I will be sharing the unique experience I had during my short break from all the intensity of my previous rotation.

Let’s ride in…

DORA THE ADVENTURER

As usual, I was not sure if I wanted to travel or not. I was tired though and needed some free space to air out.

I finally made the decision to travel again for my short break.

Before then, I had a unique experience during my Paediatrics posting where I was opportune to volunteer in an outreach and also visit a natural tourist centre.

I did share more of this on my Instagram or YouTube but for the mean time I explained a little on a reel on my Instagram page.

Okay…..back to the real break.

I was able to jet myself and meet with two friends and I had extra plans too.

I planned to vist an art gallery, a beach and possibly a museum. I was only able to fulfill two out of this and the experience was worth it.

I will only share a little here and like before share the bulk of it on my YouTube or Instagram.

I visited the Nike Art gallery. A popular art gallery and it was a site to behold.

I did a reel of a glimpse of this experience.

Then I visited the beach where close to water, I gained deep memories and had release.

In these adventures with people I had come to care for and enjoy their company, I got some refreshing and release I believed was going to help me begin the next posting.

I prayed for a calm posting because honestly my previous posting drained me and using what I call the sunshine drop therapy, I was able to maintain a calm and smiling countenance.

Don’t worry, I may tell you about this therapy in a podcast

I completed my short holiday and headed back to base.

My next posting was medicine but what specific unit?

I will tell you if my fears were confirmed or if I managed to escape.

If you are enjoying this, give it a thumbs up and share.

I share a lot and if you check the menu button on this, you will see them easily displayed. However, a quicker link is here.

Okay, until the next post continue to stay safe and God bless.

BLOGMAS 4: DAY 4

PREAMBLE

Hello and welcome here again.

How have you been doing?

Let’s ride into today’s part..

SPARE SOME TIME

To be

To breathe. To live. To love. To survive. To enjoy.

Stress is not a friend. It causes more harm than good.

From experience I speak. It has given me rashes that only leaves when stress factor is lifted

If we do not spare time to be alive, we will not have that opportunity after we die.

Spare some time

To dance. To be loved. To sing. To be alive

TIME

Is used to create memories.

Even though it waits for no one

I have come to learn very slowly, that it is my choice to create certain memories I want and that has meant going on adventures I would not have thought on going on.

Adventurous Dora

I have felt gradual fulfillment with my new trail. Not the usual pattern but it has not been bad trying.

Time is jealous but we determine what we do with it.

Spare time

To rest. To play. To create. To build

Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.(KJV)

WHILE WE LIVE

Let’s be alive.

Truth be told, it is getting difficult to be cheerful and optimistic. Sometimes, I intentionally black out current affairs from my thought, so I don’t dwell on it.

However, I am trying to chose life everyday even when it does not feel like it.

Ecclesiates 5:18- 20 Behold, here is what I have seen to be good and fitting: to eat and drink, and to find enjoyment in all the labor in which he labors under the sun during the few days of his life which God gives him—for this is his [allotted] reward. Also, every man to whom God has given riches and possessions, He has also given the power and ability to enjoy them and to receive [this as] his [allotted] portion and to rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God [to him]. For he will not often consider the [troubled] days of his life, because God keeps him occupied and focused on the joy of his heart [and the tranquility of God indwells him].

I pray to continue choosing life.

I hope same for you.

Until next part, stay safe and God bless.

what i have learnt from movies!!

Today even my heading is funny, truth is I am tired. Okay, let every young person be sincere, it is difficult to find a young person who is uninterested in movies even if it is not Nollywood it must be a kind of wood (hehehe,…but there is nothing like Koreanwood or Koreewood).

I have my own genre and appreciate good movies (and cartoons too, funky smile). For some years now Korean series have kind of taken over Indian movies..(I think..) and to be sincere I enjoy their movies (or rather series, since that is the one I watch).

Okay..what I have  learnt….

  • I have learnt some cooking skills and have added some to my special recipes ( don’t say anything if you have not tasted it or even seen it).
  • I have learnt a little of some words (don’t ask me to teach you Korean oh).
  • I learnt some medical words first there before reading it (cool, right?).
  • Appreciated acting more (it is not easy to cry).
  • Some other DIYs like that.
  • Some things about the value of friendship and family……

I didn’t mention romance, well I have a better source to learn from, not movies.Well no matter what I engage myself in, I love to find value in it. Movie aside the entertainment, offer other things too, so find that other valuable thing when next you are watching.
